We have recently been awarded Makaton Friendly Schools Silver status. The staff are all trained in Makaton to at least Level Two. We are delighted to be able to use Makaton to help our school be more inclusive and to help support everyone's communication and language skills.
We completed our training in partnership with Brefne Integrated Nursery School through Makaton NI as part of a project funded by the Integrated Education Fund. Both schools are thankful for the support of the IEF to enable us to make our school more inclusive in this way.
