Autism Impact Award

24th Jun 2023

This year, as part of the schools commitment to inclusion and equality, we have been working with Autism NI to make sure the school is as accessible as possible for children (and families) with Autism.  The staff attended training and worked alongside Autism NI to create an action plan to enhance what we currently do to support all learners.  We submitted the evidence of our progress at the end of April and were delighted to hear back that we are now an Education Champion School.  We will be listed on the Autism Ni website and received an award plaque for the school (you can see it in our entrance hall).

We want everyone to feel supported and enabled to meet their potential in the Nursery School, so the staff are committed to ongoing training and reviewing what we do in order to make that happen.  We will continue to work with Autism NI over the next three years to further develop the support we can offer for autistic children and adults in our school community.
